At Country Club Centre, we take the health and safety of our guests, tenants, and employees seriously. We have been closely monitoring the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 outbreak and will continue to stay informed on the latest information and recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada.

As such, we have taken the following precautionary measures:

* Increased the cleaning and sanitizing of all touch points within the property and common areas.
* The indoor children’s play area is closed until further notice.
* Tiny Tots weekly drop in play group is cancelled until further notice.

We are providing our tenants the possibility of reducing their operating hours (11am – 6pm Monday – Saturday and 11am – 5pm Sundays). Please check opening hours with retailers directly.

Easter events scheduled for April 8 – 10 are canceled.

We kindly request if you are feeling ill to refrain from visiting Country Club Centre until cleared by a medical professional.

The team at Discovery Harbour Shopping Centre, headed by Shirley Vaux, Dave Mills and Rob Kwaksistala helped the local Knights of Columbus set up a temporary space before the holidays to gather food and gift donations for people in need within the community.

Thanks to everyone’s combined efforts, the Knights of Columbus were able to build and deliver 1142 hampers for families!!

SPCA Nanaimo Manager Leon Davis is pleased to accept a cheque for $600 from Centre Manager, Dave Mills. Country Club Centre is pleased to donate the profits from their Santa & Pet Photo Nights to this worthy organization.

To the delight of local shoppers with a discerning palate, specialty retailers Chocolatrie Bernard Callebaut and Tea Desire opened recently at Country Club Centre.

Another local favourite, Nanaimo Sausage House, will be relocating their business to Country Club in the Spring of 2014.  Nanaimo Sausage House specializes in Eastern European style cured and smoked meats.

Other new merchants who recently joined the centre’s diverse mix of 50 stores and services includes the popular outdoor gear and apparel store Atmosphere, and haircut specialty salon Great Clips.
